Frazer Clarke's trainer Angel Fernandez has told talkSPORT fans will see a different version of his heavyweight this weekend.

The Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist is set for his first serious test as a professional as he challenges Fabio Wardley for the British title on Sunday night, live on talkSPORT.

The clash of unbeaten heavyweights will be the centre of attention in British boxing this Bank Holiday weekend, headlining the O2 Arena in London.

"He's in good spirits, confident," Fernandez said of Clarke on talkSPORT, while remaining respectful to their opponent, "I'm sure Fabio will be confident as well.

"It's gonna be a fight for the fans, both are gonna put on a good performance for the British fans.

"We look forward to the challenger and I'm 100 per cent confident in my fighter that we're gonna become victorious."

It's fair to say Clarke has flattered to deceive in some of his learning fights in the early stages of his pro career, though Fernandez is adamant he's ready for Sunday.

When asked if Clarke will jump up in levels to match Wardley, Fernandez replied: "One million per cent.

"I think you're gonna see a different Frazer Clarke.

"More focused, more disciplined, understanding of what he needs to do.

"I told him since day one, 'You cannot do what you have been doing so far, you're gonna have to be a different you.'

"And the training has been going well, there is not anything we can think of that has been wrong, so it's all down to Frazer.

"He hasn't fought at that level professionally, but I've seen him performing against Bakhodir Jalolov in the Olympics.

"He's not done the same Fabio's done in the pros, but Frazer's showed courage, showed heart, and I'm sure Fabio will have that as well.

"It's going to be down to other elements."
