Hull City have agreed a deal to sign Everton winger Josh Bowler on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old is closing in on a move to the KCOM Stadium, according to Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (14:42).
Hull have so far managed to sign goalkeeper Matt Ingram from QPR and striker Tom Eaves from Gillingham in this transfer window.
Their boss, Grant McCann, is keen to bring some more players into the football club before the Championship season starts.
Bowler could be next through the entrance door and would offer the Tigers more options and depth out wide.
The Surrey-born winger started his career with spells as a youngster at Fulham and Aldershot Town before joining QPR in 2013.
He turned professional in March 2017 and made his first and only senior appearance for the Hoops in a Championship fixture against Norwich City on the final day of the 2016/17 season.
Bowler then signed for Everton on a three-year deal in July 2017 for a fee of around £1.25 million. His contract at Goodison Park is set to expire next summer meaning he will be keen to impress the Merseyside club out on loan in the next campaign.
He has never made a first-team appearance for Everton but a loan move to Hull would be a good opportunity for the youngster.
The Tigers’ fans will be hoping to see a few more faces come in over the next couple of weeks. Defender Ryan Tafazolli, who has been training with the club recently, is another possible acquisition.
