Neil Warnock has left his position of manager of Cardiff City by mutual consent. Here are five potential candidates to replace him-
Neil Harris- He has emerged as the early front runner for the Bluebirds. The 42-year-old parted company with Championship side Millwall early last month after four years at the helm at The Den. Could he return to the dugout at the Cardiff City Stadium now?
Sol Bamba- The current Cardiff defender is a contender for the vacant job. The Ivory Coast international has played over 100 games for the Welsh side and has also had spells at Hibernian, Leicester City, Trabzonspor and Leeds United in the past.
Michael Flynn- The highly-rated young boss has done an impressive job with League Two side Newport County over the past few seasons and is being linked with the Bluebirds. The 39-year-old is being tipped for a big career in management and could be targeted by the Championship outfit.
Chris Hughton- The experienced manager is weighing up his next move after parting company with Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the last season. He has had stints at Newcastle United, Birmingham City and Norwich City in the past and would be ideal for Cardiff now.
Nigel Adkins- He is available after leaving Hull City in June. The former Scunthorpe United, Southampton, Sheffield United and Reading boss knows the Championship inside out and is an option to replace Warnock.
