Ross Embleton- The 37-year-old was Orient’s manager for the start of this season having been the assistant in the past. He did a steady job at the helm and may be called upon.

Colin Calderwood- The current Cambridge United boss was linked with the O’s before they gave Fletcher the job. His side are currently 12th in League Two. He has previously held coaching roles with the likes of Birmingham City, Norwich City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Aston Villa. Could he be linked with Orient once again now?

Jobi McAnuff- He is an option for the fourth tier outfit and remains their first team coach. The 38-year-old knows the club inside out and could be considered now for the full-time job. He has previously played for the likes of Crystal Palace, Watford and Reading.

Paul Heckingbottom- Could the former Barnsley and Leeds United manager be tempted by this vacancy? He has recently been sacked by Scottish Premiership side Hibernian and will be weighing up his next managerial job.
